Colton, CA, January 16, 2014 - Lineage Logistics ("Lineage"), a warehousing and logistics company sponsored by Bay Grove Capital LLC (“Bay Grove”), has commenced construction of a new 226,000 square foot cold storage warehouse and food processing facility in Santa Maria, California. The facility, located at 1349 West La Brea Avenue, is expected to be open by June 2014.

The LEED-certified facility will feature 132,000 square feet of frozen storage space, 65,000 square feet dedicated to onsite food processing, and eight blast cells with the capacity to blast freeze up to 1 million pounds per day. The Santa Maria site will also offer rail access and in-house transportation services to local and national markets. With 30,000 additional pallet positions, the facility will play a major role in meeting the needs of the Santa Maria region.

“The Santa Maria project is another example of our commitment to our customers and their needs,” said Lineage CEO Bill Hendricksen. “We are proud to add a Lineage facility in a region where our fruit and vegetable customers need capacity to grow their businesses.” Lineage Logistics owns and operates a number of other facilities in the region, including facilities in Oxnard and Watsonville, CA.

This development will be completed with the strong support of the local government and community in Santa Maria. When fully operational, we expect the facility to provide for up to 28 permanent and 250 seasonal new jobs in the area.
