Colton, CA, November 11, 2014 - Lineage Logistics ("Lineage"), a warehousing and logistics company backed by Bay Grove, is beginning an expansion of its Tacoma, Washington cold storage distribution facility. The new project will be completed in 2015 and will close to triple the building’s frozen warehouse capacity. With the expansion, Lineage’s leading presence in the region will total nearly 1.5 million square feet of refrigerated warehousing space across five warehouses located in Seattle, Algona, Tacoma and Centralia.

“We are excited to actively support our customers’ growth by providing expanded warehousing and logistics solutions in Tacoma. The expansion, combined with our strong regional team and our continued investment in new building innovations, will enrich our world-class solution offering in the Pacific Northwest,” said Bill Hendricksen, CEO of Lineage Logistics.

“We appreciate the support we’ve received from the Port of Tacoma for this important project,” said Adam Forste, Managing Director of Bay Grove. “We are pleased that this investment coincides with the newly announced Seaport Alliance that will support new jobs and enhance the region’s leading role in international trade.”

“We are highly supportive of Lineage’s continued significant investments in the port’s supply chain infrastructure,” said Scott Francis, Director of Real Estate for the Port of Tacoma. “We are confident our partnership with Lineage Logistics will continue to flourish and create further strategic advantages to our customers and for the region.”

The expansion will include new innovations in energy efficiency and automation as well as expanded dock capacity to accommodate cross-dock activity and intermodal rail business.
